Event description

Please note that participation in the live session is restricted to TAC-regulated RTOs only

If you are regulated by VRQA or ASQA we recommend reaching out directly to your regulator for the most accurate and relevant information as they are best positioned to provide you with guidance and updates tailored to your regulatory framework.  If you are a consultant, we appreciate you wanting to stay up to date with the latest information and recommend that you review the recording when this becomes available on the TAC YouTube channel.

In September, 2024, the Skills Ministers endorsed the revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations (Standards), which will take full regulatory effect on July 1, 2025. The updated Standards are now available for download from the Commonwealth Government's Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) website.

This webinar provides a high-level overview of the key changes introduced in the Standards. While we won't be able to delve into the specifics of each individual Standard during this session, we will discuss the overall framework and highlight the most significant differences from the previous version.

During the webinar, you will get an opportunity to raise any concerns and potential implementation challenges you foresee. Your feedback will be used to assist TAC in developing detailed guidance materials to support the RTO sector through this transition to the Standards. The guidance materials will provide the comprehensive information and answers to your specific questions that we are unable to cover in this high-level overview.

Key topics covered:

  • The rationale behind the Standards update - why were changes deemed necessary?
  • The structure and organisation of the new Standards
  • Exploration of the major areas where the Standards have been significantly updated or enhanced
