Revive Rathgar Community Hui

Revive Rathgar Road is about bringing together local whānau, schools, community groups, faith communities, businesses and everyone who calls Rathgar home.

The goal is to build a strong, united community that drives real, actionable improvements to Rathgar community based on the needs and ideas of the people who live, work or play here.

These changes aim to enhance the safety, vibrancy, and well-being of our whānau, tamariki, and local neighborhoods.

Community Asks:

1. Kingsdale Reserve Park:

• Improve lighting for safety, especially during evening hours.
• Add safety measures to reduce crime and protect park users, including tamariki.

2. Improvement ON Walkways and Alleyways near St. Dominic's Girls' School:

• Widen narrow pathways to ensure safe pedestrian movement.
• Repair unstable fences and cracked paths.
• Clear overgrown vegetation and litter to create a safer, cleaner environment.
• Install better lighting to improve visibility and safety for students during early morning and late afternoon hours.

3. Larnoch Road Pedestrian Crossing and Safety Improvements:

• Install a well-marked pedestrian crossing
• Add pedestrian road signage and road safety improvements to ensure pedestrian safety.
