    Event description

ReVoZo Flamenco returns to the Wildflower Playhouse Saturday, September 23rd at 7pm. Under the Artistic Direction of Vicente Griego, ReVoZo brings flamenco puro with a Northern New Mexico flavor. Vicente Griego, a native of Dixon, is known for his impact on Flamenco in New Mexico and throughout the world. He is an innovator of his craft and a historian who aims to preserve and honor the musical origins of Flamenco, Ranchera, Comanche and so much more. Griegos magnetic energy and humble nature brings a comfortable and yet energetically spectacular presentation unique to his influence.

Flamenco known for its Spanish origins, is often associated with passion and fire.  But the artform is so much more then polka dots and passion. It holds within its history a complex beauty deeply rooted in the expression of the human condition. There are songs that embody a full range of emotions: loss, sadness, love and of course laughter.  It is through artistic expression that we process through the realities of our world.  ReVoZo resonates with this sentiment and brings forth an ancient influence of hymns, palos and cuentos, stories and songs that still ring true today.

Join us Saturday, Sept 23rd as Griego brings to Taos world class dancers and musicians. And as Wildflower Playhouse premiers their new acoustically designed flamenco drum floor.
