Reworking the Work
Description
Pulverize it, cut it, transform it! Four poets respond with haiku to Cornelia Parker’s own ‘haiku’: small-scale artworks that distill big ideas. Parker’s series explores the notions of objects to create new forms and ways of understanding the original items. Expect adventurous reinventions of the poets’ own work. Featuring James Brown (New Days for Old), Airini Beautrais (Salt Quilt), Rebecca Hawkes (HIDE) and Tony DiCarlo. They will join City Gallery Wellington Director, Charlotte Davy in conversation.
Please note that audience access is limited to the event space and does not extend to the wider gallery. This venue is wheelchair accessible.
This event is part of VerbCrawl, a one-night-only, high-energy literary festival, that takes over the streets of central Pōneke. For more information please head to verbwellington.nz.
