Event description

For the second time, Rhomboid will be performing a set of entirely improvised songs with lyrics written by Artificial Intelligence, calculated from suggestions and words taken from the audience. Exploring the magical ability music has to frame moments and generate meaningful experiences, never to be heard ever again.

Rhomboid is an eclectic psychedelic funk trio fronted by Ari Freeman, a Wizard and magical theorist, on electric guitar and vocals. Interwoven with Ari's idiosyncratic and energetic guitar parts are the talents of Mike Fudakowski on 10 string bass, a unique instrument which allows him to hold down bass parts, chords and melody simultaneously.

Doug Brush, an ex-Chicago session musician, and current Jazz School professor completes the trio on drums with his extraordinary knowledge of world-music, time and groove.
