Event description

Join us for an exciting and interactive musical experience with Rhythms and Instruments of West Africa! SJ Library Services has partnered with Cultural Infusion to introduce children to the vibrant musical traditions of West Africa, featuring rhythms and songs from Ghana, Guinea, and Senegal.

Children will have the opportunity to explore a range of traditional instruments, including the djembe, dun dun drums, shekere, talking drum, balafon, and more! This hands-on program allows kids to actively engage by playing the drums and other percussion instruments, while learning about the rich cultural heritage behind the music.

What to Expect:

  • Interactive drumming and rhythm activities
  • Introduction to a variety of African instruments
  • Fun and educational experience in a beautiful outdoor setting
