Event description

Rice - Standup Comedy

Rice (WIP) is a comedy show about growing up in China that explores the theme of curing depression with food and finding your inner child with hip hop.
Grew up in China, educated by the English, and influenced by Tupac, Alvin Liu shares his ridiculous and unforced views on cultures and countries.

"What he has is potent in its imagery, authenticity, perverse logic, and volatility" (British Comedy Guide)
"Top shelf stand up, phenomenal" (Comediasians)

With the unique experience of growing up in China, a country of 1.4 billion people, Alvin Liu started doing stand-up in Shanghai and moved to London to pursue his dream of being a funny immigrant. He has performed at Top Secret, The Comedy Store, and the BBC.

Join us for a night of laughs at the Museum of Comedy, London near Tottenham Court Road station. Sat May 04 2024 at 6:30pm (show starts 7pm).
