Richmond History Festival - Talks
Event description
Immerse yourself in the history of Richmond and the Coal Valley region at the History Festival, a two-day event featuring sixteen amateur and professional historians who will present papers on local-interest topics chosen by them.
The festival will be held at the Richmond Town Hall (Saturday) & Wattlebanks Function Room (Sunday) and will cover aspects of early European settlement in the region, including interactions with the Indigenous Tasmanians, the lives and times of some early residents from both free and convict backgrounds, and the origins of some local infrastructure.
This is a free event however registration is essential. The two days of talks have been split into four half-day sessions for registration purposes. You may register for one, some, or all of the sessions, however we ask that you only register for sessions you plan to attend as spots are strictly limited.
If your plans change, please simply refund your registration so that others can make use of your spot.
