Event description

The Ride Against Cancer event is to raise funds directly for our Northern Territory Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre, the event is a family and community friendly event where parents, family's individuals and teams can come down for one day of the year to the V8 Supercars Hidden Valley Race Track and complete one or sixty-six laps.

The Event was instigated by a Motorsports NT member Mr Clive Baxter who wanted to contribute back to the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre that helped him and his late wife Chantal during some very difficult times. The 66 laps for Chantal is an endeavour to complete 66 laps overall, in memory of Chantal who passed away at age 66 and for all our family and friends who have passed away from Cancer.

Motorsports NT and the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre are working together to create this event and enable our family's and community to be able to directly donate and raise funding for our family and friends who may need support and treatment at our fantastic Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre.

You can ride a pushbike, walk, run, skate, push a trolley or enter in a wheelchair, basically anything on wheels that is mostly human powered.

The Hidden Valley race track is approximately three (3) kilometres long, so we advise bring some water and sunscreen, hat (slip, slop, slap) and enjoy your only chance of the year to get around a V8 Supercar track, while donating to a great cause.
