    Event description

Ride to Work Day is a National event happening on Wed 16th of October and we’d love you to join us for a social cycle out to Charles Sturt University's Wagga Wagga Campus. Departing from the meeting point at 7.45 am, this easy ride is suitable for all levels of fitness and will take approximately 30 mins to complete. A free breakfast is available on arrival to campus.

There are so many good reasons to join in - here are just a few:

    1. The upgraded University Link by Wagga Wagga City Council provides an improved cycling experience from the CBD out to our Campus with safer, separated pathways for the majority of the journey

    2. Spring has arrived and the weather is terrific for using active travel as a means to incorporate some exercise into your daily routine

    3. In 2023, staff commuting in private vehicles resulted in more than 2,300 tonnes of CO2 emissions across our organisation (equivalent to the total annual emissions of 153 average Australian households!)

    4. You will be rewarded with a free breakfast, barista-made coffee and some useful giveaways upon arrival to campus!

    5. October is Health Safety and Wellbeing month

If the nominated meeting location doesn’t suit you, feel free to make your own way to campus and meet as at our arrival point (adjacent to Building 21 on the Wagga Wagga Campus).

We also encourage you to register your participation with the Bicycle Network who track national participation in the event: https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/rides-and-events/ride2work/ride2work-day/
