Right to be Heard Hub Launch
Event description
Join YDAS for the launch of Right to be Heard, an exciting new website created by and for disabled young people.
Right to be Heard is one-stop website for disabled young people to learn about your rights, how to speak up, and make sure you are being treated fairly by your NDIS supports.
There are also resources for NDIS service providers and family and carers, so you can support young people to make sure their voices are heard, and they feel empowered to speak up.
Disabled young people codesigned and co-created Right to be Heard.
Over 30 disabled young people across the country led the project, shared their experiences, and created content for the site.
We’re so excited to share their work with you!
What to expect
This online event is Right to be Heard’s official launch and a celebration of everything that went into creating the hub.
The event will be hosted by disabled young people (of course!). It will feature interactive activities, a panel with some of the disabled young people who led the project, and a ‘tour’ of the website.
Who should attend
Everyone is welcome – whether you're a disabled young person, NDIS service provider, family member, or youth worker.
This is an all-ages event. Young people are welcome to bring family, carers, or friends.
Accessibility
The event will be held online via Zoom. Auslan interpreters and live captioning are available.
If you have any other access needs, let us know in the registration form.
