Rights Information and Advocacy Centre 2026 Annual General Meeting
Description
RIAC is a not-for-profit organisation that provides advocacy and support services dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, their families and carers. Founded in 1984, our aim is to promote fairness, respect, and equal opportunities. We envision a society where disability is no barrier to full participation.
Our mission is ensuring that the rights of people with a disability are supported and upheld by building capability to remove barriers and have control of their own lives.
We offer tailored individual advocacy services, support connections to the community, support linkages to services to enable our clients to live independently and we advocate for systemic change to benefit the wider disability community.
At RIAC, we take a person-centred and rights-focused approach. Understanding and respecting our clients' unique needs, we work alongside you to foster a more inclusive society.
With almost 20% of Australians living with a disability, whether mental or physical, and many specialists predicting this number to rise, there has never been a more crucial time for RIAC than now.
