Ringing The Peace Bell - Nara Peace Park

NARA PEACE BELL RINGING   

LENNOX GARDENS, YARRALUMLA, ACT 

Thursday, 10th December 2026 @ 7:30 am 

Each year Zonta Club of Canberra Breakfast participates in the UN  “16 Days of Activism”, in honour of the lives lost to family and domestic violence and to highlight the community need for change to ensure the safety of women and children. 

We invite you to share with us and the Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin in ringing the peace bell. The bell will be struck once for each woman and once for the children who have lost their lives to domestic violence. 

The Chorus of Women will perform at this event. 

While the event is free, we ask that you book through Humanitix as numbers are restricted. 

Please gather at the peace bell by 7:15 am for a 7:30 am start. The event will close by 9:00 am. 

This year’s UN theme is “UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls: Ensure justice, protect survivors, end impunity.”
