Jesus Madrazo Real de Asua worked at the pioneering Contino Estate and consequently, since 2017, has been making his own eponymously-labelled wines. His direct ancestors were one of the founding families of CVNE and his much loved father, José, was responsible for the establishment of Contino in 1973, the first single estate winery in Spain. In 1995 Jesus was appointed Senior Winemaker at Contino, where he gained global recognition, most notably in the "art of blending", winning multiple, international awards. He is rightly considered one of Spain’s leading winemakers with a worldwide following.
