The Return of the Dream Girl by the Rise Performance Making Program for Young Women
Description
The Perseverance Street Theatre Academy Presents
THE RETURN OF THE DREAM GIRL devised by young women from the RISE Theatre Making Program.
A 90s-inspired physical theatre adventure through
nostalgia, apocalyptic sleepovers and the inner child. Perseverance Street Theatre Academy’s RISE Program presents an original physical theatre work exploring what happens when young women are expected to grow up too fast.
Is being the head cheerleader, queen bee or most popular girl really the dream?
Or is there another way to be a girl?
Created by young women through collaboration, creative risk-taking and storytelling, The Return of the Dream Girl is a funny, fierce and nostalgic journey into growing up — and finding your way back to the parts of yourself you left behind.
For those who grew up too fast, come and take the journey with us.
