Rising for the Planet: Climate Conversations on Earth Day!
Event description
Rising for the Planet: Climate Conversations on Earth Day!
As we are moving towards EarthDay, a coalition of dedicated organizations is coming together to uplift and empower communities.
The challenges we face—overwhelming news cycles, federal inaction, and the growing urgency of the climate crisis—can make us feel discouraged and isolated. But we are not alone. We have the power to support each other through the highs and lows and build resilient communities rooted in solidarity, hope, and shared action. That’s why we are excited to host our second iteration of FREE Climate Cafés across the state with our partners Sierra Club and Dry Storage.
What are Climate Cafés?
Climate Cafés are welcoming spaces where you can openly share feelings about the climate crisis in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. During these cafés, we can explore ways to foster hope, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward a better future.
Location
We’ll meet at Dry Storage in Boulder from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Dry Storage is more than a bakery; it’s a grain company on a mission to transform food systems. Enjoy FREE pizza made with locally sourced, sustainably grown grains milled in-house, supporting local farmers while offering nutritious, flavorful food.
All you need to bring is yourself and an open heart.
RSVP here so we can save your spot.
I hope to see you there!
In Solidarity,
Eva
“Essentially, at the core, we come to a Climate Café out of love: love we are searching for in ourselves, the love that we hold for family, friends, community, the love we have for other beings and ultimately, if we allow ourselves to feel it … the love to protect life.''
— C.Wilson, 2024 (CERI faculty)
