Rita Kluge: Sacred Beasts Book Launch
Event description
Sacred Beasts celebrates a decade of Rita Kluge’s adventurous spirit, extraordinary photography, and her passion & care for the marine environment.
Join us to celebrate this exquisite book with Rita, one of our very special local legends. 10% of all proceeds from book sales go to Humane World for Animals.
Rita’s fascination with marine life began in childhood, inspired by her father, a passionate animal lover and hobby photographer. That early influence sparked a lifelong journey combining her love for photography, wildlife, and adventure.
Driven by curiosity and a deep respect for the ocean, Rita has explored and documented rare underwater moments, revealing the raw beauty and vulnerability of marine ecosystems. Her work reflects not only her artistic vision but also her commitment to ocean conservation. Through her lens, she brings attention to the devastating impact of climate change and the urgent need to protect what remains.
Beyond her artistic work, Rita volunteers her time and talent to support several animal welfare organizations, including ORRCA, Living Ocean, Humane World of Animals, and Paul Watson’s initiatives — using her photography to advocate for the voiceless and raise awareness for critical causes.
