Event description

An evening of poetry, tea and respite. 

Multicultural Peers Project in collaboration with Sweatshop and Eternity Lab bring you a gathering of Ritual, Rest, and Remedy. Join us for poetry readings, a light dinner and herbal teas, with sharings from the recently-published Australian Poetry Anthology ritual (Sweatshop, 2025). 

Bring your kin, something to read if you wish, most of all come along knowing you can soften into a gentle community space.

Accessibility 

Granville centre is only a three minute walk from Granville station, on Memorial Drive side.

Ample public parking is available, ‘A’ on map above. Granville Centre’s car park is accessed via Diamond Avenue, and it has ample disabled parking. ‘B’ on map above.

Entrances to the centre itself are the yellow arrows, and the gallery is just in the middle of the foyer

Granville centre is totally wheelchair accessible. As for sensory needs, it is a quite echoey space but lighting can be adjusted.

Multicultural Peers Project is a support network for Queer and Trans youth from Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian and Muslim backgrounds in NSW. Eternity Lab is a Western Sydney-based creative practice drawing on the diverse creative heritages of Central, South, South-West Asia, and the broader Muslim world.
