Travel instructions

Public Transport. Nearest rail access point is the Rhodes railway station -1.9km walk to the tour check in. 410 and 458 bus stops that link to Strathfield and Ryde are on Hospital Road near Concord Hospital Gate 3 - 600 metre walk to the tour check in. By car or taxi or bicycle one turns into Hospital Rd, from Concord Rd, Concord West. Then continue down Hospital Road past Concord Hospital and through the ornate land gate entrance to the main building. Park on the left side of the one way circular drive. You can drop off passengers right next to the tour check in table, adjacent to the front entrance of the building. Hazards

There are no toilets that meet current accessibility standards. Some of the standard tour is not possible using wheel chairs or walking aids, because of steps. But one can enjoy a reasonably complete tour without the stepped parts. Your guide will advise you where to wait while the rest of the tour completes the elevated section. Wheel chair access to the ground floor is from the rear of the building. If you need to use that access please ask a volunteer or call the coordinator to show you how to get to it.

Accessible parking

There are no designated accessible parking spaces. If there is no available parking sufficiently close to the tour start when you arrive, then you may need to be dropped off before your vehicle is parked.
