Event description

River Rangers - Explore. Discover. Protect.

Join us for an exciting hands-on adventure along Currumbin Creek! In the River Rangers program, kids will study the journey of a river, from freshwater trickles to flowing estuary, and uncover the vital role it plays in natural ecosystems and our everyday lives. This program is a bushwalk exploration that teaches us about the habitats, flora, and fauna that live along waterways by taking us for a walk through them.

Earthman John Palmer OAM will join us at this nature adventure to share his real-life experience and expertise in our natural environment, bush skills, and love for nature!

Through outdoor exploration, interactive activities, and real-world discovery, children will:
🐟 Follow the path of the creek and learn where the water goes
🌾 Discover the plants and animals that rely on healthy waterways
🏙️ Understand how rivers support our cities and communities
♻️ Learn how we can all help protect our creeks and rivers

Designed for curious minds aged 8–12, this is an immersive experience in nature they won’t forget.

With Gratitude to the Neumann Benevolent Foundation

We are proud to acknowledge the generous support of the Neumann Benevolent Foundation, whose contribution has made it possible for us to deliver our Winter 2025 EcoDiscoverers programs free-of-charge.

Thanks to their support, children are given the opportunity to explore, learn, and build meaningful connections with our unique and biodiversity-rich environment!

To ensure all places are used and to give children on the waitlist a fair chance to attend, a refundable booking fee of $10 applies to all bookings.

Your fee will be fully refunded when your child attends the program or if you cancel at least 48 hours in advance.

This system helps us make the most of the generous support from the Neumann Benevolent Foundation, ensuring more children have the opportunity to participate and benefit from the program.
