River Sensing - Maribyrnong River
Event description
We warmly invite you to the Maribyrnong River for a morning of sensory movement and drawing activities that invite us to listen, feel, and be in relationship with the river. Join us at one of our favourite parts of the river: Afton Street Conservation Reserve.
In this experiential session, guided by eco-artists Craig Burgess and Vanessa Chapple, we’ll explore how drawing can become a form of listening, of remembering that we are not separate from nature but in relationship with it.
Feel the therapeutic benefits of river connection. No drawing experience is needed. Come with curiosity. Leave with a deeper sense of connection.
Craig Burgess
Craig started Draw Plants Together in 2023 as a way to contribute his experience and skills in art and learning in connection with his love of plants and his interest in well-being. His workshops are enjoyable, relaxing and are an opportunity to find your own way with drawing and spend some time with plants. For more info head to: drawplantstogether.com
