River Walk: The Birrarung as a stakeholder in decision-making

Event description

The Rights of Nature are gaining momentum! So, what could this look like in our own backyard? What are the opportunities and civic responsibilities for local businesses and organisations?

To celebrate World Rivers Day 2024, Regeneration Projects is organising a special River Walk along the Birrarung, a living entity that we've come to see as a stakeholder and partner in our business.

The Yarra River has a huge 'say' in our work and we're better for it! From strategic decision-making influence, aligning our annual action plan to Melbourne's six traditional seasons and reinvesting via our 1% for the Planet membership and #RegenFridays litter clean ups, you can safely say that she's embedded throughout our organisation's DNA.

So, let's explore how your organisation could respond to the Rights of Nature movement. Our Founder Matt Sykes will share our experiences during a relaxed short river walk, with coffee in hand, while creating space for you to share ideas and ask questions around like-minded peers.

Let's explore the Birrarung as a stakeholder in decision-making!
