Connect with local science/STEM teachers as they share how they collaborate with the Education team to inspire students with relevant, local content.
Tour Barmera Primary School’s science unit, hear from the Education team about resources and loan kits and spend time sharing ideas and experiences with like-minded teachers from your area.

Afternoon tea from 4 pm.
PD session 4:30 pm - 7 pm.
Open to all local teachers/educators.
Anticipated program:
4:00 pm Afternoon tea; tea, coffee, cold drinks and yummy treats.
4:30 pm Welcome, introductions.
4:40 - 5:00 pm
Education Program overview, kits and resources. How can the Education team help you inspire your students - Cindy Kakoschke, Education team.
5:00 - 5:30 pm
Citizen Science projects and opportunities. How can schools get involved with real projects - Alice Woodward, Education team.
5:30pm - quick break
5:40pm - 6:10 pm
Building a great science unit - tour with Leighton Pearce, Barmera Primary School.
6:15 pm - 6:55 pm (choose from the following):
Primary school STEM - engaging local topics across all year levels - Karl Klose, Loxton Lutheran School.
or
High school science - engaging local topics and working with the Education team - Sarah Edwards and Adeline Wong, Loxton High School.
6:55 pm Regroup, wrap up and evaluation.
Time for networking, looking at kits/equipment.
7:30 pm Session close.
