The lights come up like a sunrise over an endless highway. Somewhere between the jukebox and the open road, a story begins.
This Roadhouse Americana show is a cinematic journey through the kings, queens and outlaws of country music, the voices that sang about love, loss, freedom and defiance, and meant every word. These are songs born in small rooms and big lives, written by artists who turned hard truths into poetry and carried them from dusty backroads to the world’s biggest stages.
At the heart of the show are the stories behind the songs, tales of rebellion and redemption, broken hearts and second chances, neon-lit bars and wide-open skies. From outlaw anthems that pushed against the rules, to timeless ballads that stopped time in its tracks, the music traces the evolution of country from its roots to its modern resurgence. Each song is a chapter, each artist a character, woven together into one unfolding American road story.
Bringing that world to life is a commanding 12-piece band, built for scale and swagger. Two drummers drive the rhythm like twin engines, a three-piece horn section adds grit, soul and cinematic punch, and a wall of vocals gives voice to the legends, honouring the queens, the kings, and the outlaws who refused to play it safe. The result is a sound that can be raw and intimate one moment, then vast and thunderous the next.
This is not just a concert, it’s a Roadhouse experience. A place where stories are told, rules are bent, and songs are played loud enough to carry down the highway. No dance floor needed. Just settle in, lean back, and let the music take you somewhere between then and now — where country music has always lived, and always will.
Roadhouse Americana made their debut 2022 and was the passion project of Adelaide guitarist Dean Barcello. Determined to keep alive the great Southern Rock genre as well as Blues, Rock, Country, Folk and Bluegrass. These are all elements that encompass the American Dream of Equality, Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of happiness. Roadhouse Americana pays tribute to the vast genre known as Americana Music, from Southern Rock, Mid-West Bluegrass to the Westcoast and Outlaw Country genres.
This 12 Piece band will take you on a journey from the Deep South through the Appalachian Mountains, Texas and West Coast. Covering artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Creedance Clearwater, The Band, The Eagles, Linda Rondstadt, Kris Kristofferson just to name a few.
As well as covering this vast genre Roadhouse Americana has also encompassed a variety of tribute shows such as Dolly Parton, The Last Waltz by the Band, The Allman Brothers, The Tedeschi and Trucks Band and The Country Kings, Queens and Outlaws show.
Adelaide powerhouse on lead vocals Nicolina Barcello is joined by 6 vocalists to create huge harmonies and share the lead duties on occasion. No stone has been un-turned and no compromise has been made as this 12-piece band consists of multiple Guitars, 2 Drummers, Pedal Steel, Organ, Piano and a 3-piece Horn section to recreate the vast authentic sounds of the genre called Americana music
