The evening begins with Orange & Amber, a genre-bending rock group focused on songwriting that is emotive, unexpected, and beautifully strange. Then, for the first time, Fool & The World and The Grotesque Burlesque join forces for a single, fully integrated performance of Fool & The World’s debut album—transforming the Marigold Theater into a living, breathing world of sound, bodies, characters, and story.

Expect something somewhere between a concert, a theatrical production, a rock-and-roll circus, and a collective fever dream.

The Grotesque Burlesque

The Grotesque Burlesque is a Massachusetts-based, queer-centered performance collective known for creating immersive “atmos-queer” experiences blending avant-garde burlesque, movement, ritual theater, storytelling, and multimedia.

Their work explores dreams, love, grief, desire, justice, transformation, and belonging, inviting audiences beyond passive observation and into felt experience.

For this collaboration, The Grotesque Burlesque has created performances specifically around the songs of Fool & The World’s debut album—translating sound into movement, character, tension, beauty, absurdity, and release.

Fool & The World

Fool & The World plays “cosmic carnival rock”—a potent fusion of folk, punk, indie rock, funk, and progressive experimentation.

Their music sounds something like the mutant lovechild of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fleet Foxes, adopted by Tom Waits—driven by cinematic lyrics, layered harmonies, visceral grooves, and compositions that move freely between chaos and precision.

Every song is an act from the circus of life: mythic and chaotic, tender and absurd, playful and profound.

Their songs aren’t simply played. They’re inhabited.

Orange & Amber

Orange & Amber is a rock-bending group drawn toward the stranger edges of songwriting—creating music that is emotive, adventurous, and difficult to pin neatly inside a genre.
