FAQs
- Do I need to be able to sing?
Absolutely not! No audition. No experience required.
If you can sing along to the radio, you can sing with us.
- What if I’m not confident singing in front of people?
That’s exactly why we’re here. This is a supportive, welcoming space where there are no solos and no pressure to perform on your own. We sing together!
- What will we sing?
We’ll learn a selection of uplifting, familiar songs chosen to be fun to sing and accessible to all abilities.
There’ll be plenty of laughs, a few musical challenges and hopefully some moments that give you goosebumps — in the good way!
- Do I have to attend every session?
We’d love you to come along to as many sessions as you can, but we understand that appointments, work and life can make plans unpredictable.
Come when you can. There’s no guilt if you need to miss a session.
- Do I have to perform at the end?
There will be an opportunity to share what we’ve learned in a community event, but performing is never about perfection.
The focus is on connection, confidence and having a bloody good time singing together.
- What should I bring?
Just yourself and some comfortable clothes. You might also like to bring a water bottle.
Music and lyrics will be provided.
- Do I have to read music?
Nope!
We’ll teach the songs in a way that makes them accessible, and you’ll have lyrics to follow.
- Does this ticket include a seat at the Gala Cancer Fundraiser?
No. This ticket is for participation in the pop-up choir only and does not include entry or a seat at the Gala Cancer Fundraiser.
Gala tickets will be available separately.
