Event description

Interested to learn more about revegetation, how to go about it, and who to talk to?

This tour will focus on 2 established revegetation sites/areas in Rockleigh to provide the opportunity to observe examples of different aged revegetation covering various soil types, approaches, and desired functions. It will be an inspiring few hours full of interesting plants and discussions.

Second Nature are currently undertaking various on-ground actions for biodiversity with landholders in the area and are offering this session to further encourage revegetation works into the future.

If you are a land manager in the area who would like to learn about revegetation options for your own land, we encourage you to come along! You will be able to connect with other landholders to share information and knowledge and experiences.

  • The tour will require you to drive or arrange your own transport between the 2 revegetation sites we will visit, guided by us. We will email you the meeting address following your registration.
  • Morning tea will be provided. Please inform us of any dietary requirements. We will ensure there are options available for all needs.
  • Please bring your water bottle. We will have re-fill water on hand.
  • Moderate mobility and fitness level required, with some sand-dune and lightly rocky terrain.

Please be sun smart, bring a hat and wear closed toe shoes/boots, long sleeves, and long pants.

This workshop is part of our Monarto to Tungkillo Biodiversity Links Project, supported by the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board through funding from the landscape levies.
