Rome from Home (2 August)
Event description
This Jubilee year, the theme Pilgrims of Hope calls us to open our hearts to the healing, renewal, and hope that come from trusting in Jesus.
Pilgrimage isn’t just about travel – it's about the journey of our lives. Like all journeys, it has ups and downs, but as pilgrims, we remember Jesus is always with us, guiding us toward the home he’s prepared for each of us.
While many young people from our Diocese are travelling to Rome and Greece for the Jubilee of Youth pilgrimage, those of us at home are invited to join in spirit and purpose – to be Pilgrims of Hope in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
What to expect:
Spend the afternoon in good company with young people from across the Diocese, led by youth ministry leaders who will help us explore what it means to walk this pilgrimage of hope through:
Meaningful talks and personal stories
Small group chats where you can share and listen
Fun activities that deepen our faith
Time for prayer, reflection, and connection
Celebration of Mass together at 5pm
Who’s it for?
All young adults aged roughly 13 to 35, who want to grow in faith, find community, and be inspired on their journey. Afternoon tea is provided.
Come as you are, bring your questions and your hope, and be part of this special day.
Together, let’s walk the pilgrimage of hope with Jesus.
