Event description

This workshop provides a peek into the world of Rongoā Rākau: Traditional Māori Healing. We will discuss key philosophies, principles and processes of Rongoā Māori and explore why the ngahere is the best place to learn about the gifts of our tuākana.

16 March Hīkoi to the ngahere - plant identification - please note on this day we meet at Ecomatters carpark, 1 Olympic Place.
23 March Bodywork - Tiwawe

Kairongoā Emma Haslam is of Ngāi Te Rangi and Ngāti Hauā descent and has worked supporting Donna Kerridge in her Rongoā Māori Practice for the past 12 years. She has also trained with prominent Rongoā Māori experts Rob McGowan and Atarangi Muru. Emmas’ passion for Rongoā Māori is unrelenting. She is competent in the arts of karakia, Māori bodywork and plant medicines.
