Event description
Kawakawa Tea & Shortbread Workshop
Join us for a hands-on session under the guidance of Judy Henderson, celebrating kawakawa — one of Aotearoa’s treasured native plants. Learn how to harvest kawakawa leaves respectfully, then see how they are prepared into a soothing tea, from boiling and straining to serving. Judy will also demonstrate how to make delicious kawakawa shortbread biscuits, followed by tastings of both the tea and biscuits.
This workshop is free to attend, with koha appreciated. A wonderful way to experience the flavour, wellness, and versatility of this taonga plant.
