Description

Feeling tired, stressed, stretched too thin?

Give yourself the gift of RONGO — a space to release, to breathe, to remember what truly matters.

Step into an environment that oozes calm. Let beautiful aromatics wrap around you. Surrender to the quiet power of plant medicine, held in a space made for stillness.

This is your invitation to pause. To restore. To come home to yourself.

Come and receive the gift of RONGO.

$295 per person

This is not ordinary. It is an unfolding — a return to the senses, a slowing of breath, a remembering.

Come and spend time among the rākau. Let the taiao hold you as you gather, create, and craft rongoā with your own hands, for your own wellbeing.

We know that you are unique — so your rongoā should be too. That is the gift we offer: something made just for you.

Friday 9th October — 5.30pm–9pm
Saturday 10th October — 9.30am–4pm
Sunday 11th October — 9.00am–2pm

Nestled along the coast of North Taranaki, Te Rau o Rongo is a papakāinga — a thriving food farm and apothecary wellbeing space, where kai and rongoā are grown in alignment with the Hua Parakore kaupapa.

Woven through your wānanga:

  • Forage for medicinal plants and craft a native infusion

  • Blend your own bespoke herbal tea

  • Create your own bespoke rongoā balm, made with your own hands

  • Wander through a gentle hīkoi moemoea meditation

  • Be cleansed in sacred waters

  • Be nourished by Kai Atua — organic kai prepared with love by Chef Teresa Julian

Weather permitting, we will journey to Taranaki maunga together, for spiritual nourishment and cleansing beneath the mountain.

You will be guided by Pounamu Skelton (Te Āti Awa, Taranaki) — kai māra grower, rongoā practitioner, and indigenous coach — who will hold space and manaaki you throughout your time here.

You will be fully cared for and fully fed. Bookings are essential, as this is a small and intimate gathering.

Give yourself the gift of RONGO. You deserve this stillness.
