A ceremonial evening of music and movement.

Root to Rhythm invites you on a journey from stillness into sound, from the mind into the body, and from separation into shared presence. Guided by somatic practices and ancestral wisdom, we’ll explore how rhythm becomes a bridge between earth and spirit—between self and other.

Through gentle movement, grounded awareness, and intentional dance, we open a space to remember what it feels like to truly be in our bodies, together. The night culminates in a live ecstatic dance journey with DJ Jagua, weaving live instruments and electronic beats into a transformative, heart-opening experience.

SCHEDULE:

6:00 PM - Arrival & Social Grounding

Doors open. Sip tea or herbal elixirs, meet new faces, and settle into the space with gentle music to help you arrive fully.

6:30 PM - Opening Set (Surprise Guest)

A slow and intentional warm-up to bring awareness into the body, breath, and present moment.

7:00 PM - Workshop: Weaving Ancient Cosmologies

Learn simple yet profound practices passed down by Q’ero elders of the Andes, exploring how ancient cosmology can inform our movement and daily lives through principles of:

Andean cosmology
Contact Beyond Contact
Somatic awareness & partner movement
Relational presence & grounding

We’ll shift from the thinking mind into embodied experience, exploring how conditioning and memory live within our bodies. This is a space for remembering—not performance. Expect slow, accessible movement, reflection, and optional partner connection.

7:30-10:00 PM - Ecstatic Dance with DJ Jagua

A continuous dance journey designed to move energy, release old stories, and return to the body’s natural rhythm. No choreography. No roles to play. Just movement as you are—rooted, rhythmic, free.

10:00 PM - Closing & Community Drop-In

The music softens. Stay to ground, connect, and share reflections.

Elixirs and tea will be available throughout the evening.

ABOUT JAGUA:

Producer • Multi-Instrumentalist • Ceremonial DJ

Jagua is an international producer and multi-instrumentalist who blends electronic beats with live instrumentation to create immersive soundscapes that bridge ancient and modern worlds. His music merges sacred rhythms with drums, flutes, guitars, and didgeridoos—woven through ethereal bass, tribal house, downtempo, and medicine music.

Rooted in Andean, and Amazonian teachings, Jagua’s sets are ceremonial journeys that invite deep embodiment and connection. By merging live instruments with DJ performance, he transforms the dance floor into a sacred space for healing and celebration, awakening freedom and presence through movement.
