What is Rooted?
Rooted is a four-day, nature-based, holistic gathering for up to 40 BIPOC women+ at Stonehedge Gardens in Lenapehoking or Tamaqua, PA.
Its purpose is for BIPOC women to explore radical self-care, mutual support, and community love in nature.
Why does it matter?
In a time marked by extreme injustice, it is a sacred form of activism for BIPOC women to peacefully gather.
By tending to ourselves and our communities, we regulate, heal and ultimately become more open to connection, creating ripples of lasting peace.

Our gathering model is grounded in reciprocity and empowerment, fostering a collective commitment to wellbeing.

Meals are predominantly plant-based, organic, and locally sourced. Each woman also receives an abundance of fresh herbs and teas to support holistic health and wellbeing.

In 2024, four farms, a neighboring retreat center, a local garden, an herbalist org, a café, and 13 individuals generously contributed to our gathering.
This year, we’re expanding. We aim to host 40 participants, offer more scholarships, and deepen our program offerings We need your support to make it possible.

Fair Compensation for facilitators and Stonehedge Gardens, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to accessible, holistic programming
