ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Estephanie Rose, founder of Sound & Movement, is a first-generation Peruvian-American sound healer, yoga teacher, and artist. Her practice is rooted in ancestral traditions of music and movement, honoring sound as a pathway for grief, celebration, connection, and collective healing. Using over 15 instruments, she creates immersive, earth-inspired sound journeys that invite rest, renewal, and reconnection with the body, spirit, and the living world within and around us. She understands movement as medicine—whether through the body, breath, emotion, or sound waves.

FAQs

  • What is a soundbath?

A soundbath uses sounds and vibrations to create deep relaxation. It is a meditation guided by sounds.

  • Is water involved in a soundbath?

No. A soundbath is a meditative experience using live sounds and vibrations to help create deep relaxation. There is no water involved, instead you are immersed in sound waves.

  • How should I dress?

Wear something comfortable that you feel relaxed in. With the colder weather here, be sure to wear layers to keep warm. Your body temperature will drop as you lay for the hour-soundbath.

  • Can kids attend?

This experience is intended for adults at this time 🤍

  • Where is the event located?

We will meet at Picnic Grove #7 in Rock Creek Park.

  • What happens if it rains?

If it rains earlier in the day but clears up before the event, we’ll still go ahead with the soundbath! I have a tarp we can lay down to protect us from the damp ground if needed.

If it’s actively raining during the event, we’ll do our best to reschedule for another date. Please note that all ticket sales are final, regardless of weather-related changes.

  • Can I receive a refund?

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding as we prepare the session and space for this experience. If you are unable to attend, please reach out about transferring your ticket to another participant. Please email infosoundandmovement@gmail.com.
