Sun, 13 Dec, 1:30pm - 5:30pm GMT

A slow, somatic, solo rope workshop for presence without performance.

This workshop is an invitation to explore rope as a grounding, embodied practice, one that centres safety, presence and personal pacing.

Rather than focusing on complexity or performance, we move slowly and intentionally, allowing rope to become a tool for listening: to sensation, breath, weight and the body's natural rhythms.

This is a solo-focused workshop. Partnered tying is not a focus, and there is no expectation to share, perform, or push beyond your own edges.

You're invited to explore rope as:

  • an anchor for attention and breath

  • a way of meeting sensation safely

  • a supportive container for self-connection

Demonstrations and guidance are offered as gentle starting points, followed by spacious time for individual exploration.

The pace is slow. Choice is prioritised. Consent is woven through every layer of the experience.

This space is intentionally non-sexual and trauma-aware. There is no right way to feel, no outcome to reach, and no requirement to go "deep." You're always welcome to adapt, pause, or opt out of any part of the workshop.

What to expect

  • A calm arrival and grounding practice

  • Clear consent and boundary-setting

  • Guided solo rope exploration

  • Plenty of time to move at your own pace

  • A gentle closing and integration

This workshop may be supportive if you:

  • Are curious about rope as an embodied or meditative practice

  • Want a slower, more intentional approach to rope

  • Are new to rope, returning with fresh intention, or experienced and wishing to deepen your connection

  • Value consent, autonomy and nervous-system awareness

No prior rope experience is required. All bodies are welcome.

Practical bits

  • Rope is provided, but you're welcome to bring your own

  • Bring something comfy to sit or lie on if that helps you settle

  • Wear clothes you can move and relax in

  • If you have any access needs or anything you'd like me to know, please get in touch in advance

Pricing

This workshop is offered on a sliding scale to support accessibility and community care. A limited number of supported tickets are available, alongside standard and pay-it-forward options. If it feels available to you, choosing a higher tier helps make the space accessible for others.

Please choose the option that feels sustainable for you, without pressure and without needing to justify your choice.

You're invited to come exactly as you are, and to let your body set the pace.
