Rose Pedal Saloon - jazz meets the pedal steel guitar

In this country it is quite a rare event to see a pedal steel guitar on stage, and even rarer for it to appear in a jazz line-up. This group features one of Australia’s masters of that instrument, Michel Rose, along with Jamie Clark (guitar), Helen Russell (bass/vocals) and Kym Ambrose (drums). 

Michel’s career has seen him playing with not only a long list of country luminaries such as Troy Cassar Daly and Beccy Cole, but also swinging it with the Feral Swing Katz and Australian all-star jazz group The Catholics. The group will be presenting some jazz classics and some originals with a little country swing on the side.
