Event description

Join Friends of Ku-ring-gai Environment’s guided walks through Ku-ring-gai’s interwar garden suburbs that have been targeted as Transport Oriented Developments (TODs).

Marvel at their stunning 20th century domestic architecture, set in a landscape of heritage conservation areas and remnant Blue Gum High Forest - a place of outstanding natural and built heritage which the National Trust (NSW) first classified in 1997.

Learn how the Transport Oriented Development (TOD), the Housing
Delivery Authority (HAD) and other NSW Government planning policies now threaten to permanently and irreversibly erase Ku-ring-gai’s heritage and environment.

For over thirty years FOKE has raised the alarm over NSW Government’s urban consolidation policies.

Just as Jack Mundey and the Green Bans movement fought to preserve Sydney's heritage in the 1970s, we now face a new challenge in protecting Ku-ring-gai’s heritage and environment.

Meet on Roseville Railway Station overbridge—near lift.

Wear comfortable shoes. Bring water & snack.

Bring umbrella if raining.
