Trash and Treasure Roster - January to April 2024

Rotary Club of Belconnen 

There are five shifts each week that are covered by Rotary Club of Belconnen members (the OIC shift counts as two). Members are asked to cover one shift per month.

Assisting Clubs

The Rotary Club of Belconnen relies on support from Rotary Clubs and other community organisations to run the Trash and Treasure market at Jamison each week.

Eight shifts provide support with fences and operation of the “gates” throughout the morning plus other minor tasks as they may occur.  

Assisting Clubs and community organisations receive the total gate donations on a pro-rate basis each month in return for their support.

Early Shift (06:30am - 09:30am) 

• Set up fences and signs
• Check all sites for inappropriate items on sale
• Assist with the collect of Site Fees from Stallholders
• Involvement with gate and market stalls area rotation (all 3 gates & market area)
• Assist the OIC with the conduct of the market

Late Shift (09:30am - 12:30pm)

• Involvement with gate and market stalls area rotation (all 3 gates & market area)
• Check Sites as closure of markets occurs – ensure all goods and rubbish removed
• Recovery of all signs (fence signs and traffic management signs)
• Dismantling of fences and appropriate packing of the trailer
• Assist the OIC with the conduct of the market
