Please join us for our Rotary Means Business Christmas Breakfast with special guest speaker Brad Ness OAM.

Five-time Paralympian, former Captain, and now Paris Paralympics Head Coach of the Australian Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team

Sporting hero Brad Ness has never let anything stand in his way of achieving.

As former captain and now head coach of the Australian Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team, The Rollers, Brad has combined his knowledge and passions for workplace safety education and sport.

Suffering a workplace accident at 18 which made him a below-the-knee amputee, Brad now travels the world to inspire people with his incredible story and attitude towards life.

Boasting an array of life highlights, Brad has carried the flag for the Australian Paralympic team at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, been the Captain and now head coach in Paris of the Australian Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team, won a Gold medal at the Beijing Paralympic Games, represented the Australian government at the European Training Sports Centre in Italy, met the Dalai Lama, and played basketball across the globe.

Brad was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his Services to Sport in 2008.

He also attended the United Nations Laos Anti Mines Convention as a mentor to land mine victims.

Brad is living proof of what is truly possible with determination and perseverance.
