Master Bartending Championship (MBC) is an organisation aimed at growing attention to the creative world of bartending in all its forms. As one of the oldest occupations in the world, the art of hospitality has been shaped by many decades of collective thought, bringing it to where it stands today. Yet, much of it remains unnoticed. By refining and highlighting the most attractive aspects of creative bartending, the Master Bartending Championship seeks to establish a platform akin to other elite sports around the world.
The ongoing principals of MBC are:
1. Freedom and Creativity
Until now, cocktail competitions globally have almost all been supported through brand sponsorship. This model is strongly supported as it makes up the bulk of competitions available and has brought the sport to where it is today. MBC is and always will remain agnostic to a brands involvement in a cocktail competition.
2. Making the Subjective Objective
Transparency in judging results is just the beginning of creating a true and fair sporting competition. Each judgement is ensured to be made independently of external opinion.
3. Becoming the Best Above All Else
Strong and friendly competition among competitors is paramount. Many competitors already invest hundreds of dollars preparing for competitions.
4. You in Your Drink
Bartenders, being some of the most interesting people, play a key role in platform growth by telling stories to a target audience.
