Royal Life Saving Queensland's Youth Water STAARS Program

Water STAARS (Support to Access Aquatic Recreational Spaces) is a four-week program delivered by Ipswich City Council in partnership with Royal Life Saving Queensland. The program helps people with a disability build confidence and skills in aquatic environments through safe, supportive and educational sessions.

Important Information:

• Participants must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer who will actively assist and participate in the water during each session.

• Lessons are conducted by qualified Royal Life Saving Queensland’s Disability Instructors in a safe and supportive environment.

• Bookings are essential as numbers are capped per session.

• This program includes four x one-hour lessons and attendance will be at the same time and day for four consecutive weeks.

Duration: Four weekly one-hour lessons

Dates: Wednesday 21, 28 October 2026 and 4, 11 November 2026 from 5.00 pm - 6.00 pm

Location: Orion Lagoon, Springfield Central

Please Note: Child-minding services are not available during this program. Participants are responsible for the care and supervision of their children at all times.
