Event description

Landing an internship or grad offer at a Silicon Valley big tech company is hard work but an achievable feat. You need to put experience on your resume, study algorithm theory, practice programming problems, and conduct live mock interviews. This summer we'll be hosting a FREE intensive coding bootcamp to guide students through their own interview preparation. The past five years of student success includes over 120 big tech offers from Google, Amazon, Palantir, Jane Street, Citadel, TikTok, IMC, Atlassian, Optiver, Canva, and many more. In a recent summer, 30% of Google Australia's Software Engineering interns came directly from our program.

The founder, Ravi Hammond, is an Adelaide University Computer Science graduate who scored internship offers from Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Atlassian, and Palantir during his undergrad. For years he's been training students to pass their own coding interviews with much success and has designed this program to walk you through the required learning.

The co-presenter and previous coordinator for the program, Jack Morton, is a Computer Science graduate who received internship offers from some of the worlds most prestigious quantitative trading firms, including Citadel and Jane Street. They are currently working full time at Jane Street.

The co-presenter and current coordinator for the program, Zach Anderson, is an Electrical Engineering, Mathematical & Computer Sciences undergraduate student who received internship offers from numerous quantitative trading firms, including IMC, Optiver & Susquehanna. He is currently working part-time at insightfactory.ai, and has been offered a return internship and graduate position at IMC. Zach can be reached at zach@rsp.org.au.

The bootcamp is for Undergraduate, Masters, or PhD students who are interested in working for big tech companies as Software Engineers. You don’t need to be a Computer Science or Adelaide-based student to join.

Important: A prerequisite to the study program is to watch the talk ‘How To Get A Silicon Valley Internship’, presented by Ravi in 2021. Make sure you watch it before attending this information session.

If you’re unable to attend the info session but are interested in the bootcamp, please apply by filling out this form. Full-time availability over the summer is required.

A special thanks to the Competitive Programming Club and the Computer Science Club for hosting the information session.
