Join RTCON20 to catch Meridith Ebbs' PD session on 'Emerging Technologies in Education: What are they and how do they apply to teachers?'
During this session Meridith will explore how emerging technologies are impacting on classrooms. She will discuss why these emerging technologies are important to understand and why teaching the mandatory curriculum for digital technologies in K-8 is such a crucial base for these subjects.
The session will provide links to tools that can be used to learn more, create and explore Augmented and Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
Meridith is the CSER NSW Project Officer for the University of Adelaide. Currently she is working with the CSER team to develop resources and courses for teachers, parents and students to upskill in digital technologies, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
She also continues her work as a teacher to maintain connections with the curriculum and needs of teachers.
Meridith is accredited as an Apple Teacher and an Apple Teacher in Swift Playground, Makey Makey ambassador and Sphero Lead Educator.
Meridith has experience teaching students K-10 and she is an experienced facilitator of adult workshops, with experience working in both school and corporate environments.
