Brisbane's largest and longest-running poetry competition is BACK for its 13TH YEAR FINALE!

All year long, poets have stepped up to the Ruckus Slam stage, battled it out under our completely legitimate, definitely unbiased and academically questionable judging system, and walked away with monthly wins. Now it's time for the class of 2026 to reunite for one final showdown!

We're bringing all our monthly champions back to the Ruckus stage at Mirrorball Ministries, West End, to compete for the ultimate bragging rights, a CASH PRIZE and the prestigious title of RUCKUS CHAMPION 2026!

RULES FOR POETS

• 16 poets maximum

• 2 minutes 30 seconds maximum per poem

• Sign-ups open at 6:30pm

• Open mic wildcards will be drawn at random until all 16 spots are filled.
