Rumi on Song

Rumi on Song is a modern-day musical tribute by Martin Summer based on the work of 12th century Persian poet Rumi, supported by Loren Kate bringing a raw and intimate voice to the extraordinary songbook of Leonard Cohen.

Martin has spent the last 2 years creating his show based on the writings of Rumi; the second largest selling poet in America, proving the observations and story of Rumi is still as relevant now as it was centuries ago. Throughout this work he introduces chorus to Rumi's stanza, creating a unique way to experience the writings this beloved poet.

Loren Kate steps into the extraordinary songbook of Leonard Cohen, bringing her own raw and intimate voice to songs that have lived in our hearts for generations. With a deep love of storytelling and a natural connection to Cohen’s poetry, darkness and beauty, Loren offers a tender and deeply personal interpretation of these timeless songs — honouring the originals while allowing them to breathe in a new way.
