Join 4-time Olympian and Melbourne University Athletics Club member Lisa Weightman as we launch our new and improved Run Club for Semester 2.
Lisa's achievements include:
🥇 Four Olympic Games appearances (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), placing as high as 17th globally
🌍 Completed all 30 of the marathons started around the globe.
🥈 Two Commonwealth Games medals: Silver (Gold Coast 2018) and Bronze (Delhi 2010) in the marathon
🏆 National Champion in both the 10,000m and Half Marathon events
🌍 World Championship accolades, including a team bronze at the 2008 IAAF World Cross Country Championships and top 16 at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in the marathon
⏱️ Marathon Personal Best of 2:23:15 set in Osaka (2023), ranking her among Australia’s fastest ever
⏱️ Half Marathon Personal Best of 1:08:48
⏱️ 10km Personal Best of 31:20
From training around Preston City Oval to becoming one of the few Australians to compete in four Olympic Games, qualifying for five—is a testament to resilience, longevity and elite performance. Combining an elite marathon career with a full-time career as a technology consultant and a mum. Her story inspires not just athletes, but anyone striving for excellence.

6.00pm - Instructional warm-up session with Lisa
6.30pm - Run of Princes Park with Lisa
7.15pm - Return to the Sports Precinct for light refreshments and a further opportunity to engage with Lisa
