Join us for an Energizing Event: Virtual Run, Dance Roll, Stroll, or any other physical activity as we celebrate World Stroke Day 2024!

Brought to you by The George Institute for Global Health, this event supports the Stroke Recovery Association NSW, with all proceeds going to empower stroke survivors on their road to recovery.

    Date: Tuesday, 29 October 2024

Duration: 30 minutes, or if you have any physical challenges choose your own time limit, whenever possible

Physical activity and exercise improves our ability to perform activities of daily living, and quality of life and it reduces the risk of stroke! About Stroke Recovery Association NSW:

The impact of a stroke is far-reaching and can affect each member of a family. After the acute phase of a stroke is over, many people experience frustration, depression, anger, resentment, a sense of powerlessness and fatigue. It is at this point, if not earlier, that the person who has had a stroke, and their family, can benefit from contact with the Stroke Recovery Association NSW. The Stroke Recovery Association of NSW is a not-for-profit consumer-driven organisation that advocates for and provides a range of support and information services to survivors of stroke and their families and carers. Stroke information and support are provided through telephone counselling, peer support groups - online and at a local venue near you, stroke education - conferences/workshops, along with social outings and get togethers for survivors of stroke and their families.
