MIXED - ALL GENDERS WELCOME
Why is cardio important? Why do South Asians need to pay more attention to their cardiovascular health? How to create a running plan and avoid injuries when starting to run?
Don't worry, we got you! Learn the basics of running and cardio health with a group of supportive people from your community.
Kaur Sports x USYD Sikh Society x Glenwood Athletics and Sports Club will ensure a safe and supportive environment for you to learn about why running is important for longevity and quality of life.
We will go over:
The importance of working on your cardiovascular health,
How to create a running plan for beginners,
Running technique to avoid injuries,
Answer any questions you might have,
And finish off on a relay race!
What to wear/bring:
Closed toe shoes (ideally, running shoes)
Comfortable, stretchy, breathable, clothes you can run in
Water bottle
Hat
Sunscreen
Attendees under 18 years old must attend with a parent/guardian.
