    What to expect

    Would you like to be more confident in creating safe, accessible and empowering spaces?

    Do you want to run workshops where young participants are actively involved and highly engaged?

    You’ll walk away from this fun and interactive training equipped with the confidence and skills you need to run great workshops with and for young people.

    Through the careful and practiced guidance of our experienced Young Peer Facilitators you will leave knowing how you can enhance your meetings, workshops and events. 

    Wednesday 4 September & Wednesday 11 September 2024, 1-3pm online

    Topics we cover

      Part One - Wednesday 4 September, 1-3pm:

      • What makes a great workshop?
      • Setting up a safe space
      • Online vs face to face vs hybrid workshops
      • Designing a workshop and developing a runsheet

      Part Two - Wednesday 11 September 1-3pm:

      • What makes a great workshop facilitator?
      • Problem solving – what happens when things don’t go to plan?
      • Accessibility and communication styles
      • Facilitating for consultations and research

    This event is open to all in the youth sector and those who work with young people in a relational way, where the young person is their priority.

    YACVic are committed to access and inclusion. Throughout the training we have a ten-minute break, enable Zoom's automatic captioning and provide image descriptions of visuals used. If you require extra support to attend the session, we can book in live captioning and/or Auslan interpreters. 

    Tickets for two-part workshop

    $60 YACVic young members and youth work students (limited to 5 tickets per workshop)
    $120 YACVic Members over 25 years old
    $160 YACVic Non-Members over 25 years old
    $210 Corporate and government

    Refund Policy

    All refund requests must be made in writing by contacting the organiser up to 24 hours before the start day of the event. No refunds will be granted after that. A full refund will be made up to 10 days of the request being submitted. Please contact Finnley Stirling at FStirling@yacvic.org.au.
