Description

The Chieftain Music Club presents...

One Man - A Thousand Stories - Rupert Guenther

SATURDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 6.30pm-9pm - Doors Open from 6pm

International violin virtuoso Rupert Guenther brings a not-to-be-missed show to The Chieftain Music Club Toodyay of his inspired music from the sounds of classical concert halls of Europe and the temples in Japan, to the Middle East, the snow-capped Himalayas and tribal sounds of North Africa.

Guenther gives audiences an immersive experience in sound with an insider glimpse into his travels; the stories behind the music, and shares insights into the creative process of crafting the music. Using his extraordinary skills as a violinist, he weaves the sounds with electronics creating an evocative and rare live experience in one of WA's most prestigious club venues.

Trained in Vienna, Rupert Guenther is a lifelong professional musician whose special focus is creating music in accessible and engaging concerts which relate with the world around us - the night skies, geography, science, and events in history. His experience includes positions in The Vienna Chamber Opera and many decades as a sideman to the stars including Beatles producer Sir George Martin, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Greek superstar Demis Roussos. He has independently released 40 albums or his own music since 2003 including 5 albums commissioned and recorded for ABC Classic FM. He regularly tours Australia, Europe and the UK in venues including Tate Britain, Museum of London Docklands, Sydney Opera House, The Melbourne Recital Centre, Government House Ballroom Perth, WA Museum Boola Bardip and WA Shipwrecks Museum Fremantle. He currently lives in the Central Wheatbelt region of WA on a farm with his wife Tanya.
